Do seek their meat from god, Poetic response

A child has survived
but at the cost of two lives
the world rejoices,
for no tears are cried

Are we so different?
the beast and the man
each one searches for life
we each play our best hand

Sometimes the beast,
with it's claws and it's teeth
can win it's battles at night.
But mostly, they fall victim
to scared little men
who feel the they are in the right

And so one child survives
at the cost of two lives
but no one cares
no one thinks to cry

The forest will swallow
today's great sorrow
the tree will keep growing
the wind will keep blowing
no one thinks to cry

From the town the boy grows old
but the ravens keep flying
even when he is dying
the world stops for nothing

no one ever thinks to cry.....

  1. I really enjoyed reading your poetic responses to the short stories. I found your use of repetition and parallelism effective in the DSTMFG post and the last line is like an echo. I like.
